Ann-Marie Manker was born in Long Beach, California and currently lives in Atlanta, GA. She received her MFA in drawing and painting from Georgia State University in 2004 and her BFA from the University of Southern California in 1992. Manker currently teaches adjunct at SCAD Atlanta and previously taught at the Atlanta College of Art and Georgia State University.

Her professional experience includes founding and directing ArtSpot gallery from 2001-2004. The gallery was awarded "Best Alternative Art Space 2003" by Creative Loafing. In 2005 she formed Golden Blizzard art collective with fellow artist Alex Kvares, leading to its current 8 member status. Recently she was awarded the Forward Arts Foundation Emerging Artist Award 2006, and will present her new works at Swan Coach House Gallery, June 15, 2006. Manker has exhibited her work at various establishments, including Marcia Wood Gallery, Sabina Lee Gallery in Los Angeles, Gallery 24 in Berlin, Youngblood Gallery, Saltworks Gallery and MOCA GA.
